First dive with Feet First Dive as part of the St George Underwater Centre Dive Club Nelson Bay trip in October 2012.
Headed down the anchor line to the flat top of a pinnacle in around 6 metres of water. Dropped over the edge into a gutter and a grey nurse shark almost immediately. Swam around various gutters sighting more grey nurse sharks and eventually made our way back to the main gutter where most of the shark action was on. I saw at least 5 different grey nurse sharks, and possibly up to 10, including one very large female. Did the safety stop on top of the pinnacle and then up the anchor line back to the boat. |
