Details |
We entered the water straight off from Point Perpendicular. The intent was for us to head north along the reef on the outside of the bay. Peter initially led us west.
Fairly early on in the dive, Ian pointed out a giant cuttlefish under and overhang and I went in to take photographs of it. While under the overhang, I noticed two Lord Howe butterfly fish. I had never seen this species before and wanted to get some photographs. By the time I finished taking photographs, I was separated from the others. I headed a short way west in search of them but could not find them. I then looked north, as that was the originally intended heading but still couldn't find them. At around 30 minutes I did my safety stop and headed for the surface. Joe picked my up in the boat. |
