Details

Entered on the south east corner of the island and descend in a southerly direction to near the sand line. We came on a large reef of sponges and followed it to the west, heading for the deep wall. Part way along the reef I found a red indianfish.

This reef must have gone off at a tangent to wall as we ended up a long way from the wall. We had to back track along the reef. Along the way I got separated from Wayne and Tim and had to make my own way back. I didn't have a compass, although I think that was an advantage because it is not obvious in which direction you should head unless you know exactly how far around the island you are. I just kept heading veering left as I back tracked along the reef jumping from reef to reef until I came to the wall. I was a west of the deep wall but knew I could follow that around the island, which I did.

As I approached 50 bar, I headed into shallower water and cut across the north west corner of the island coming through just to the west of the "shark fin" in the sand. I exited at the "boat ramp".
