The plan was to dive the east side of Bare Island and there was a fierce southerly blowing meaning it would not be possible to enter the water on the eastern side, either from the mainland or the island. We entered on the west side at the ramp and swam around under the bridge. Even though the surface was very choppy from the wind, under the water it was calm and clear.

On the way out I was able to find the rock where we'd seen pygmy pipehorses on the last 2 dives but unfortunately, we could not find any today. I guess the one that had been there for a while had moved on.

We continued south and I found a white and grey angler with red toes up in the light purple sponge where it had been last time. I then found the red sponge that had the white angler before but could not find the angler.

We went along the swim-through and checked along the crevice on the right but did not see any anglers. At the end there was a medium sized giant cuttlefish under the ledge.

We continued along the open area looking for pygmy pipehorses but didn't find any. We then came back along the swim-through and found a white/grey angler where we'd looked before. Seeing as they don't move very quickly, it must have been there before and we missed it, even though it stood out.

Passed the swim-through I managed to find the orange form undescribed angler on the same rock as last dive, but further north. We swam back passed the other angler and checked out the pygmy pipehorse rock again and carefully inspect all the other rocks but did not find any.

We swam back under the bridge and exited at the ramp.
