Details

For this dive, Tomas took us to the Isolated Reefs. This was my first time visiting them. We jumped in the water from the mainland side at the point west of the bridge. We swam on the surface passed the white buoy and stopped above the reef, according to Tomas. We then descended quickly as safely possible but there was a mid-water current that dragged us off the reef a bit and we had to swim over the sand to reach the second reef. (The second reef is the one further from the island).

We swam around the outside of the reef in an anticlockwise direction. We almost completed one full circuit and then swam to the middle of the reef where Tomas found a small undescribed angler that he'd not seen before.

We headed west and left second reef and arrived at first reef after a short swim over sand. On the first reef, Tomas found a tiny and well camouflaged scorpionfish. We followed first reef along to the west until we reached the reef of the island. We followed that around the north west corner and up the slope to the northern side of the island. We exited near the ramp.
