We jumped in to the west of the ramp and the water looked very green. We descended and he visibility was only around 2 metres. We had to stay pretty close together so we wouldn't get separated.

We headed along the reef, over the motor and over the shelf and then down the slope to the corner. The visibility improved to around 4 metres. We kept heading west to the western reef. Vicki pointed out a very large striped angler and as PJ was videoing it, he noticed a smaller one beside it. It is likely the large one is a female and the small one a male.

We continued west and met Nick Missenden coming back the other way. He pointed out a grey form red-fingered angler. A little further on there was a medium sized wobbegong and while PJ was videoing it, it turned and went for one of his lights. I haven't seen PJ move so fast underwater before.

It was about this time I was wondering why we hadn't seen any red indianfish when straight ahead there was a red indianfish.

We turned and headed east past the striped anglers. I then headed to the rock with the pygmy pipehorses, missing the weedy seadragon that the others saw.

We all looked carefully on the pygmy pipehorse rock but found none. Nick told us later he'd seen one closer to the exit.

We then headed back up the slope and along the reef exiting at the entry point.
