It was a lot calmer at Bare Island than I was expecting and so we were able to jump in on the west side of the island just south of the north west corner. We descended and swam at around 210° to the deep wall. We descended the wall and headed east for a while before turning and headed west along the wall. Visibility was 10 to 15 metres but it was under 16°C.

We came to the end of the wall and continued along the reef past where the seahorses used to be. We were hoping to find the seahorses further along the reef but didn't find them.

We turned and headed north towards the shallow wall. We hit this wall and followed it to the west, then north to the corner of the island at the caves. I had a quick look for the large pygmy pipehorse Kim and I had seen but the cold water was clouding my mind and I was a little disoriented.

We continued around the corner and I found the two white pygmy pipehorses (IL2015081402 and IL2015081403) in their usual location.

We continued up the slope and at the rock above Pygmy Rock I found the male pygmy (IL2015073104). I had a quick look for the female but I was cold and lost interest.

We headed to the rocks with the pink sea tulips but someone was already photographing the pygmy pipehorse there so we just continued to the top of the slope and started our safety stop as we headed to the exit.

After completing our safety stop we exited on the northern side of the island.
