The bay was still calm so The Monument was a good choice for my second dive. The tide was still coming in so I'd swim towards The Steps as far as the seahorses first and then head back around the corner. I got in at the little bay around the corner from the flag poles, descended and swam over the sponge garden to the sand line. I turned right and followed the wall.

Along the wall I found one of the seahorses in the gap. I looked for the other two ("Bia" and "Fred") but could not find them.

I continued to the other seahorses and found "Deborah" on the sand just before the main rock with seahorses. I then found "Michael" and "Duncan" in the sponge in the gap below the main rock. I then spotted an orange painted angler, around 50mm in length in a sponge on the edge of the gap. It was less than a metre from the seahorses. I hunted around the area for "Charlie" but could not find her. While I was looking I spotted a juvenile keyhole angelfish flitting around under some rocks. I sat for 5 minutes or so trying to get a decent photo.

I headed back towards The Monument past the other seahorse looking again for the other two. I followed the reef towards the corner past Split Rock which I checked for seahorses. I found the kelp where "Heather" had been 10 days ago but could not find her. I found 2 of the Nembrotha purpureolineata nudibranchs.

I continued on to the slope and after a bit of searching located the little orange red-fingered angler. It is good it is hanging around the area. I followed the reef up to the wall and swam along the top of the wall at 5m doing my safety stop. I then headed south towards the exit and got out on the rocks.
