For the second dive we were going to swim to The Monument and back. It was after high tide so we'd be swimming into the current on the way there but we'd have a nice current to bring us back to the Steps.

We jumped in at The Steps, descended to the sand line and turned left. Visibility was still over 10 metres and there was no surge. Water temperature was around 22°C.

We swam along the sand line until I cut up to look for the grey angler we'd seen on Sunday. I found the rock and sponge I'd seen an angler a few weeks ago and then looked for the one we'd seen on Sunday. I looked all around the rocks but couldn't find it. I did find a small giant cuttlefish. We found two weedy seadragons.

At block rock we found the black angler that Mike had found on Friday. It was in the same spot.

We continued on along the deep wall and along to Split Rock. The female White's seahorse was back in the yellow sponge. A little further on I found the two pygmy pipehorses on the low rock.

The visibility started to drop and it got quite dark. I managed to find the rock with the two pygmies just before the rock with the four. Both pygmies were there. It was then easy to find the rock with the four pygmy pipehorses and all 4 were still there.

We swam up to the grey angler in the sponges before turning around and heading back to The Monument. We came back via Block Rock and I took some more photos of the black angler.

We followed the sand line to The Monument and Roney spotted a girdled pipefish under some red algae. At The Steps, we did our safety stop around Split Rock and exited at The Steps.
