Captive care

Medium to bright lighting.

Water flow

Low to moderate current (Borneman, 2001)

Feeding

Should be fed regularly and will accept most foods. If not fed, starvation usually brings on tissue recession (Borneman, 2001). Any foods that can fit into the mouth, such as small shrimp, should be suitable.

Growth rate

If well fed, the growth rate can be quite considerable, however, due to their shape, growth usually goes unnoticed unless regular measurements are taken.

Diseases and other maladies

Not susceptible to most common coral diseases (Borneman, 2001) but can be easily damaged.
