Details

Usual dive at The Leap. After entering we swam to the sand line and looked for the usual suspects as well as seahorses and anglerfish. The cowrie was no-where to be found at its usual Capnella soft coral colony. We found no seahorses or anglerfish before or on Seahorse Rock. "Bob" was on his usual low rock north of Seahorse Rock. There was still no sign of "Rosie".

We thoroughly checked the large rock where the basket star lives for seahorses but found none.

"Southern Cross", "Richie" and "Kel" were on their usual rock. I did not have a chance to take many photos of them because a very inconsiderate group of divers literally descended on top of me and pushed me out of the way. I had words with them after the dive but I don't think they got the message. They need to understand if someone is there before them they need to wait.

After leaving "Southern Cross" rock, I managed to save a six-spine leatherjacket, Meuschenia freycineti, that was caught on a line from a boat above.

We headed through the sponge covered boulders up from the sand line, again looking for seahorses and anglerfish but found none. We exited at The Steps.
