Details

Dive 29 of the Raja Ampat trip in February 2013 on board the S/Y Indo Siren and the fourth of six dives in Dampier Strait. This was the last night dive of the trip.

This was one of my favourite dives of the trip and my most favourite night dive. We saw so many cephalopods with the highlight being the blue-ringed octopus I found. I was pretty much on my own when I found the blue-ringed octopus and so had some time with it to get some photographs before the hoards descended - and boy did the hoards descend once I let people know what I had found. I was completely surrounded by divers and the poor octopus was lit up like a football game.

Another highlight was the bamboo shark that Ongko found. I had not heard him so excited as he was when he found it. Again, it didn't take long before we were surrounded by divers.

A most enjoyable dive.
