Entered at The Leap and headed straight to the sand line. Drifted along the sand line with the incoming tide. We were looking for painted anglers. I managed to find two tiny sea spiders (pycnogonids) in the algae. Along the way we also saw a pair of reaper cuttlefish and a weedy seadragon. Behind seahorse rock we found "Rosie", "Bob" and "Kel". "Rosie" hadn't been seen for the last few dives so it was good to see her back. On the way to "Southern Cross" we saw another weedy seadragon and another pair of reaper cuttlefish. We found "Southern Cross", "Pierre" and "Richie" at their usual location. We followed the sand line along as far as the basket star, seeing more weedy seadragons, including two juveniles and another pair of reaper cuttlefish. At the basket star we headed up into shallower water and exited at The Steps. We did not find any anglers. |
