Details

It was quite rough with a largish swell but the swell was not large enough to leap from the upper shelf and I had to get in from the lower one. I was nearly washed off the shelf twice before jumping in with only one fin. It was very rough on the surface. We descended to the sand line and while it was not as rough, there was still quite a bit of surge and a lot of sand kicked up. The visibility was between 5 and 10 metres but the sand in the water made it look worse.

At the sand line we found male weedy seadragon that had recently dropped its babies and a small wobbegong. We made our way towards The Steps. Before we got to seahorse rock we found another weedy seadragon. Behind seahorse rock we only found 2 seahorses, "Rosie" and "Bob". "Kel" was not seen. It was very surgy with the seahorses.

We moved on to "Southern Cross" seeing a large Port Jackson shark along the way. We found "Southern Cross", "Richie" and "Pierre" in their usual location. There was a lot of surge around them, too.

On our way to The Steps we saw two more weedy seadragons, including another male who had recently dropped his babies. We exited at The Steps which was a bit of a challenge.
