Conditions looked fantastic when we arrived at Bare Island. There was hardly a ripple on the water and the tide was very high, so high, we had to walk through water to get to the entry point.

We jumped in just to the south of the pole and while the surface water was warm, it was not very clear. As we descended, we were hit with very cool water but fortunately it was clear - around 10 metres.

We moved slowly north along the sand line looking very carefully for pygmy pipehorses, but unfortunately, we didn't find any. When we got near the swimthrough we found an undescribed angler in the roof of the main crevice. I'm sure this is the same angler we've seen multiple times in that area since November 2013.

Passed the swimthrough we looked for the orange form undescribed angler we have seen regularly but could not find it. We did find the pale undescribed angler high up in the sponges on the wall.

We swam under the bridge and exited near the ramp.
