Details

This was our first dive at Amed. We were taken out in very narrow outrigger boats with very old, rusty motors and long propeller shafts and dropped over a vast sand flat. We could see snake eels on the sand flat in all directions.

We swam over the sand flat until we hit the reef. Initially, the reef was artificial and then we swam past natural reef. The highlight of the dive was the resident giant anglerfish and the tiny Moyer's dragonet which I didn't realise was a fish until I looked at my photographs.
