The conditions were meant to be rough today with a 2 metre swell but it didn't look all that bad at The Steps. There were some waves coming in at the entrance which would have made an exit tricky but the entrance was a breeze.

We descended to the sand line and headed towards The Monument. The visibility was remarkably good and up to 15 metres, although there was a bit of particulate matter in the water which is not conducive to photography. Along the way we saw 5-6 weedy seadragons. Surprisingly, we didn't see any cephalopods at all: no cuttlefish or octopus and not even any squid in mid water. We also didn't see any anglers.

Sheree did find a Nembrotha lineolata. This was only the second time we'd ever seen one and the first time in Sydney. We saw the other one in Raja Ampat.

We exited on the corner at The Monument.
