The forecast was for quite a big southerly swell but The Leap didn't look too bad today. It probably wasn't wise to jump in from the low ledge but I could slide down the rocks with the swell, which I did. I descended and swam to the sand line at the usual 60° and arrived at the amphitheatre.

I immediately headed towards The Steps and found ther rock that "Lucy" and "Bob", the pot-bellied seahorses, were on last week. They were there again today and this time they were together. Hopefully, "Lucy" had been impregnating "Bob" and we'll have some more offspring.

I continued on towards The Steps, finding a weedy seadragon along the way. Behind Seahorse Rock I found "Alex", the painted angler, and then "Rosie" on her usual rock. I wonder if another male will appear soon.

I continued on and found "Southern Cross", "Richie" and "Pierre" on their usual rock, although this time they were all down The Leap end of the rock.

I swam on and checked out the pineapplefish, finding all 4 as usual.

I swam slowly along the sand line looking for pygmy pipehorses and anglers but found none. I checked out the hollow where Sheree had found the pygmy pipehorses in March but there were none there. I visited the basket star and then looked at the other pygmy pipehorse location, where Di had pointed them out, but it appears they have moved on as well.

I checked out the sponge covered boulders all the way to The Steps in the hope of finding some anglers, but found none.

I did my safety stop near the Plesiastrea colonies, as usual, and exited at The Steps.
