The Leap looked even flatter today despite the winds freshening. The water surface was hardly moving at all when we jumped in. We descended and swam to sand line at around 60° arriving at the amphitheatre.

We headed north-west towards The Steps. I found "Lucy" and "Bob", the pot-bellied seahorses, on their usual rock and pointed them out to Nicci to show the others. Shortly passed the seahorses, I came across a weedy seadragon and also pointed that out.

We swam on to Seahorse Rock and I found "Rosie" there as usual. There was still a lot of the snot algae around and some of it was wrapped around her so I removed it. I had a quick look around for "Alex", the painted angler but still didn't find him.

A little further on PJ pointed out a little painted angler he's been watching for a few months. While it was still little to me, and compared to "Alex", PJ says it has grown quite a lot of the time he's been seeing it.

We swam on to the next lot of seahorses and found all three. "Pierre" was still very pregnant so I didn't miss birthing yesterday. I also noticed that "Richie was pregnant but not as much as "Pierre".

We continued on towards The Steps and came across two more weedy seadragons. I then swam up to the pineapplefish to show them to Nicci. After that we increased our pace.

I tried to find the grey undescribed angler I'd found yesterday. I'm pretty sure I found the correct rock but it was not there. I expect it is still in the area because we notice that the grey anglers at Bare Island move around a bit but generally stay in the same area.

By this time the others left me. I had a bigger tank and a dry suit so I had plenty of air and was not cold. I stopped at the pygmy pipehorse and took a few photos before going to look for "Big John", the orange undescribed angler. I think I found the rock I'd seen it on last week but it was not there. I will have to a dive from The Steps to look for it.

I swam up to the boulders and did my safety stop before swimming to the exit at The Steps.
