Details

I entered at The Steps and descended to the sand line. I turned to the right and swam around and over all the kelp and algal covered rocks near the sand line in search of "Big John", the orange form undescribed angler. Despite my intense search I did not find it.

I followed the sand line looking at the rocks for anglers, pygmy pipehorses and whatever else I might find. When I got to Big Rock I checked it out for pygmy pipehorses and then went to the reef above it where I found a medium sized giant cuttlefish who was let me get very close. After playing with the cuttlefish for a while I started heading back towards The Steps on top of the reef.

As I got closer to The Steps I looked more and more closely for "Big John". I had almost given up hope in finding that angler until I spotted it on the side of a rock. Mission accomplished. Once you see them you wonder how you could ever miss them.

I headed straight to the boulders, ascended to 5 metres and did my safety stop before exiting at The Steps.
