It was foggy when I arrived at Bare Island and I was told that just before I arrived you couldn't even see the island from the car park. I couldn't see Kurnell and the airport was only just visible. The water looked a little choppy but by the time I was ready it had flattened out a bit.

I walked to the western side of the island and jumped in just south of the point. I surface swam out and the descended. I headed south to the wall and when I arrived dropped down the wall and turned right along the wall. I followed the wall along until it ended and started my search for seahorses.

I found "Della" almost immediately despite her being quite dark. It took me another 5 minutes to find "Tomas", who was just above "Della" and probably more prominent. It was another 15 minutes or so before I found the third seahorse, a male I don't believe I have seen before. I hunted around for more seahorses as there have been as many as 6 in this location but did not find any more.

While I was looking, the FDC group (PJ, Vicki, Graeme, Ian, Martin, Wayne and Rick) swam through so I tagged along with them for a bit and they showed me a red-fingered angler. As I had been in the water a lot longer, I left them and headed north to the island and then swam around the western side of the island to the corner and then up the slope and along the northern side of the island. I exited just before the "boat ramp".
