As I arrived back at the ute from the previous dive I spied Vicki Swinnerton across the road gearing up for a dive. After confirming she could show me the location of the pygmy pipehorse rock I joined her, Ricky, Bruce and Len for a dive.

After jumping it, Vicki took me straight to the pygmy pipehorse rock and pointed out a large pregnant male pygmy pipehorse to me and then continued her dive with Ricky, Bruce and Len, leaving me with the pygmy pipehorses.

The one she pointed out to me was much more camouflaged than the ones I see at Kurnell and I believe I had already looked at that rock on previous dives. Once I had seen that one though I had my eye in and found 3 more all less than half a metre apart. There was another large drab male who was very well camouflaged, a smaller male that had a lot of pink on it and a much smaller one (not sure if male or female) that was almost clear. I spent the rest of the dive photographing the ones I had found and also looking for more. These guys are much harder to spot than the ones at The Leap.
