After the rough weather during the week it was going to be interesting at The Leap. The swell was not too bad but what would the visibility be like? We jumped in and the visibility at the entry point was 3 to 5 metres. We descended and headed to the sand line at around 60°. At the sand line the visibility was 5 to 10 metres but there was a lot of surge that was kicking up the sand which made it look a little worse. I also realise that one of my strobes had leaked so I only had one working strobe.

We went to Pygmy Rock and I had a good look for pygmies for 10 minutes but could not find any so we headed off towards The Steps. On the way to Seahorse Rock we saw two moorish idols near the sand line.

Both "Rosie" and "Pierre" were on the usual rock behind Seahorse Rock. After the seahorses we saw another moorish idol.

We continued on through Seadragon Alley where we saw 5 weedy seadragons, all ones I have seen previously. We also saw a large giant cuttlefish.

I parted company with the others at the end of Seadragon Alley (I had a 15L tank and the others only had 12.2L). I continued along the sand line as far as Big Rock and then I headed up onto the top of the reef and made my way to the Steps. I did my safety stop and exited at The Steps.
