Details

It had been over a year since I'd dived at Clifton Gardens and it was too rough to dive elsewhere so I gave it a go. It was a beautiful morning and the harbour was calm. The water looked clear.

I got in at the beach on the eastern side of the pool nets and swam out under the pier. Visibility was at least 5 metres. I followed the pier pylons to deeper water and then slowly made my way back swimming back and forth between the pylons. At the top I followed the nets to the west for a while, turned and came back. I swam back north along the nets and got out at the beach. Interestingly, I only saw one seahorse but 3 pipefish.
