The Steps looked much like it did yesterday although perhaps a little calmer. Ben and I jumped in, descended to the sand line, swam through the kelp and turned right towards The Leap. Visibility was better than yesterday at around 5 metres.

We followed the sand line until the rock with the white honeycomb sponge and then headed up to the seahorses. "Di" and "Mikhail" were both on their rock. We then headed on to Diversity Rock.

"Daniel" was in the Carijoa on Diversity Rock, "Arnold" was on the white honeycomb sponge on the rock behind and "Noel" was in the green sponges on the same rock. "Rosie" was on the high rock to the left. The pygmy pipehorse was in the white honeycomb sponge within the Carijoa on Diversity Rock.

We followed the sand line again. I spotted a weedy seadragon below the basket star. I then spotted the weedy seadragon with deformed body just before Big Rock. I found the female ornate ghostpipefish (the larger of the two) in the same spot both had been yesterday. I hunted around the whole area and could not find the male. Neither could I find the black angler. I went to look for the upside-down pipefish and found another weedy seadragon. I didn't see the upside-down pipefish.

We turned and headed back towards The Steps. We swam up from the sand line but still with sight of it - the visibility was around 8 metres so we could see the sand line well. I checked out High Pygmy Rock briefly without success. We swam past the basket star and back to Diversity Rock. "Daniel" was still in the Carijoa but as I took more shots of the pygmy pipehorse he moved down to the sea tulips. The other males were pretty much where they had been and "Rosie" had moved a few centimetres.

We headed towards the other seahorses when I spotted a Nembrotha purpureolineata. I also spotted another weedy seadragon. "Di" and "Mikhail" were still on their rock. We headed to the boulders, did our safety stops and exited at The Steps.
